My Faith-Walk

When I became a Christian in my early 20’s, it changed everything. I soon found myself married and in ministry, filled with dreams about the future. I had a vision, but the stage itself was not within my reach. I was not a frontrunner, I was quiet, shy and insecure. How could I ever reach out to anyone?

In the midst of this journey, my marriage started to go down a bumpy road, and after 8 years of battling, it ended in a painful divorce. Going from ministry to violent storms and struggles, to then becoming an unemployed, single mother of three, was not the life I had wished for. It was not what I signed up for at all.

At that point I was exhausted, extremely codependent, confused and full of shame. On top of that, I carried a hurtful story of domestic violence and “church-hurt” in my backpack, making my life an interesting combination of negative thinking and almost no self-worth. I felt I did not belong anywhere.

My story does not end there. One day, I spoke to a Christian coach, and finally managed to set healthy boundaries. I learnt how to create achievable goals, to look ABOVE the chaos, and move from my non-successful role as a victim, to a leader in my own life. I became a frontrunner! A few years later, I married the man BEYOND my dreams, and moved to Norway, where we still live.

So, I know the crushed dreams, and the devastating feeling of “not being good enough”. I also know how frustrating it is to KNOW that God loves you and has a plan, but still be held BACK, unable to move. Talking to someone through those periods can help you get clarity faster. After my own personal experience, I know what a coaching-call can do and the change it can bring. So here I am 🙂
